Thomas Parnell [1679-1718] Irish poet and essayist was a friend of Jonathan Swift and a member of the Scriblerus Club. This edition which came out in 1721 was edited by his friend Alexander Pope, who wrote the dedicatory poem to Robert Harley, Earl of Oxford.
