Hugh Humphreys [1817-1896] of the Castle Square, Caenarfon was a prolific publisher of engravings, lithographs and photographs on Welsh subjects. Humphreys issued similarly titled collections of North Wales views, but we have not been able to discover another copy with this particular title. Title on cover reads 'Humphreys's Views in North Wales 5/-'. This collection incorporates some views published by the London publisher J. Harwood dated in the 1840s, and Humphreys of Bangor.
