A lovely little watercolour of these cottages on the edge of Hampstead Heath. There is a very similar scene apparently depicting the same cottages from a similar aspect described as 'North End Cottages' attributed to Fred Cook in the Burgh House Museum. There are a number of recorded artists with these initials at this period, nearly all women including Elizabeth M. Chettle, but it is hard to attribute this work to a particular one.
